*SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED SUNDAY’S AMERICAN IDOL FINALE.**
Sunday night marked the American Idol Finale and the two-hour show had it’s share of amazing performances and of course, surprises!
Judge Lionel Richie opened with Dancing on the Streets and was joined by the entire Top 10.
Lousiana boy, Laine Hardy, started the competition with Marc Broussard’s, Home. Madison was up next with Lady Gaga’s Shallow. Alejandro followed with an original. When asked who won that round, judges sided 2 and 1 for Alejandro and Madison, respectively.
For their second performance, Laine sang Jumbalaya by Hank Williams; Madison sang Break Away by former Idol, Kelly Clarkson; Alejandro followed with another original called Tonight.
Before the first round of results were read, Former American Idol Winner, Carrie Underwood, performed her new single, Southbound.
Laine learned his fate early and was declared safe and took his spot in the top 2 with Alejandro Aranda. Madison VenDenBurg placed 3rd.
The night included musical performances by judge Katy Perry and Daddy Yankee, Kool and the Gang, Adam Lambert, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Andra Day and more were joined by various Idol alums and finalists.
