Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters is back for another installment, but this time, we leave NYC and add new characters, like Paul Rudd. I’m a huge Paul Rudd fan, so I’m already game!

Here’s the deal, after the controversy of the 2016 film, all plans for a sequel to that film were dropped.

INSTEAD, this movie will serve as the sequel to the original Ghostbusters (’84) and Ghostbusters II (’89).

PLUS, according to the IMDB cast list, we will see many faces from the original, including Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, Dan Akroyd and Ernie Hudson. And while Ivan Reitman doesn’t seem to have a role in this sequel, his son, Jason Reitman is Director, and both Akroyd and Harold Ramis, who both wrote the original scripts, are writers here, too.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife has a tentative release date of July 10, 2020.

This is one I’m adding to my “Must Watch” list of 2020.
